The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is currently accepting applications for a CUSTODIAN. The primary functions of the Custodian position involves heavy manual labor in the general custodial care of County facilities and grounds on a daily basis. An employee allocated to this position is responsible for ensuring that County facilities and grounds are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The Custodian position also orders, stocks, and maintains the cleaning and maintenance supplies needed for assigned County facilities. This position requires confidentiality as the employee may be in contact with various files and clients that are of a sensitive nature.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License
- Verifiable cleaning/housekeeping experience
While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time; to use hands to finger or feel, to reach with hands and arms and to lift and carry 50-75 pounds. Must be able to bend/stoop, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, push, pull, crouch, and squat.
