Washington County Announces First Major Economic Development Project at Industrial Rail Park

Washington County, FL - Washington County is proud to announce the first major project under its economic development initiative at the Washington County Industrial Rail Park. American Civil Contractors, Inc. will serve as the inaugural industry partner, marking a significant milestone in the County’s efforts to
drive growth, create jobs, and expand local resources.

This project is made possible through grant funding from FloridaCommerce and reflects the strong leadership and vision of the Washington County Board of County Commissioners, along with the continued guidance and support of the County Administrator.

The partnership with American Civil Contractors, Inc. has the potential to create up to 65 new, high-quality jobs for Washington County residents, providing meaningful employment opportunities and strengthening the local economy.

In addition to job creation, the project will bring long-term economic benefits to the region. The facility will provide more affordable asphalt and paving materials for city and county municipalities, while also offering cost-effective aggregate materials to the general public. These resources are expected to support infrastructure improvements and reduce project costs across the region.
